A woman gave birth in a Merseyside supermarket after going into labour while doing her weekly shop.
Kathy Ritson gave birth to 5lb 11oz baby Michaela 25 minutes after her labour pains started as she shopped at Asda in Aintree.
Workers Tony Kelly and Val Perry helped her deliver in the supermarket's first aid room, while paramedics gave instructions over the telephone.
Ms Ritson said the pair were "brilliant, absolutely marvellous".
Michaela was born before ambulance staff arrived, and is now recovering with her mum in hospital.
Mr Kelly, assistant manager of frozen foods, said: "It was just utter shock - I just could not believe what was going on.
