At least she knows when and what she has done. So she has that aspect of it. And if putting real pants on her, upsets her so much, to be honest, I don't think it's worth enforcing.

When it's hot and summer is here, the more she toddles about freely (nappy-less) like out in the paddling pool etc, the less I think she'll want to wear a nappy.

I know how difficult and frustrating you must feel, I've been there. But like Cara says, what about a star sticker chart? Involve her from making it from scratch. And even if she wears a nappy all day, but when she needs a wee... she goes to the toilet.... reward her with a star. I think she'd soon get sick of them.
