Aimee and Sharon Osbourne have pulled out of their forthcoming performance in the West End show The Vagina Monologues because Aimee has “been taken ill”, her spokeswoman said tonight.

The family are flying back to Los Angeles over the weekend so Aimee, the only one in the family not to appear in the MTV show which catapulted the Osbournes to fame, receives treatment.

A spokeswoman would not reveal what was wrong with Aimee, 21, who was set to begin her run, with her mother, in the acclaimed show on Tuesday.

A statement said: “Sharon and Aimee Osbourne have to pull out of their scheduled appearances in the upcoming London West End production of The Vagina Monologues, directed by Irina Brown.

“This is due to unavoidable personal reasons. Aimee has been taken ill and the family are therefore flying back home to LA over the weekend so that she can have further treatment and rest.

“They were both very much looking forward to appearing in the show but Sharon’s focus now has to be on the family and, more importantly, Aimee’s health.”

The news comes after a run of bad luck for Black Sabbath star Ozzy and his family.
