Ever since my cocktail party my friend Ana has jokingly called me a booze hag. Apparently I'm really gammy at texting while drunk.

What I was wondering is what do you think of drinking? Ana goes drinking with friends every couple of weekends. She does it for socialising, never gets really smashed, just enough to feel pleasantly drunk with that warm fuzzy feeling. Of course she's had the odd experience or two where she has overestimated her drinking limit and thrown up but hey, that's all part of the experience.

When is drinking too much? I know people who go out every weekend and get totally wasted and I've always thought that doing that is silly, imature and dangerous. But, that's just my opinion ...

Do many of you drink much?

I have had a baby inbetween and don't like drinking whilst pregnant, then I had a little drink at boyfriends christmas due.

Never really went down town when I was younger thought it was a waste of money
it was hard enuff getting a job nevermind blowing all my wages down the toilet

Don't like drinking at home don't get the same enjoyment out of it.

My sis is totally opposite as soon as she thought she could pass for 18 in town she would be out and that was about 14 years of age.

I think everyone gets to know their own limits eventually most the time it blokes that really push it and act like idiots most the women i know, know when to stop

I dont drink because ive seen how bad my friends get, and it makes me just sit there and go "yeah, and i'd want to end up like that why??"
i dont know, i dont mind the occasional drinkiepooz with family but i dont make a notion of doing it with mates (and plus im only 17

Yeah, you act like a real schmuck while drunk. I could totally see how stupid I was being but jsut couldn't do anythign aobut it. I almost didn't like that feeling of no self-control. I did kind of like how it loosened my tongue, how I was able to say things I woulnd't normally say that I've wanted to.

yeah thats what my mates and that say too, and i spose its good for them if they want to speak out about things they cant say normally, i just wish they didnt get so pukey over it *eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww*

Ewww yeah.

I reckon it's very important to know your limits when drinking. Drinking is good and all but I honestly do not see what is so fun about getting so smashed that you're sick.

exactly if anything it just shows you how immature youre being and drinking is about being responsible too, whats so responsibe about getting plastered?!

Personally, I drank when I was in 5th grade and hated the stuff. I also smoked. Afterwards my mom found out and I felt SO awful for about a year. (Seriously) See, when I was little, not even in school yet, I made a promise that if my mom quit smoking, I wouldn't ever smoke. (And I found out that she still smoked) So I was just *sweary word* and rebelling.

Anyway.....I dont like to drink. I think its all nasty tasting.

Um, yeah, sorry bout the sweary word, I didn't know it was a sweary word. But hey, whilst Im at it

Laurel, it's great to hear that you got out of that rut.

Yeah, most alcohol isn't actually all that nice. Personally, I'm not one for wine OR beer (though wine spritzers - wine+lemonade - and shandies - beer+lemonade - are both yummy) so, so far, I stick to mixed drinks. They taste delicious. Never mind that they get you drunk quicker...hehe.

Gutted, I asked my parents if I could go to a friends for drinks and they wont let me. I'm quite proud of myself because I told them I'd be drinking and that the parents wouldn't be tehre. Truthfulness all the way! Of course, it means I can't go. Gotta give my parents credit though- they were both very reasonable about it and explained why they didn't want me going, instead of straight out saying no. It's good though because, to make up for it, Mum is willing to drive me to a friend's house for a going-away party instead of taking the bus

^ yay but ney Potty, its great that you were honest with them, and it would have been disappointing about your friends place and such...but at least now you're getting a free ride instead of catching the bus!!

Anyways, alcohol is not good for you. It is a poison of sorts, so none of you ever ever drink it ok?? (plays the authoritive part on the forum)

Hehehe, I'm so glad my older sister was a real rebel when she was younger - she paved the way for me, beat my parents down and makes me look like a real
<
It's great

Snowy, I didn't realise it was that bad for you. I always thought it was alright for a little but when you binge drink/get wasted every weekend(or more than once a week), that's when it's dangerous.

*shrug* Ah well.
