Making A Background

1) Open a new document (400x100) i always work with a transparent background but its entirely up to you.

2) Select the polygonal lasso tool you'll have to right click on the lasso tool if you cant see it

3) Draw Shapes on your new document using the polygonal lasso tool then fill it with colours of your choice i choose pink and blue (ps you have to draw one shape fill it then draw the other shape fill it and so on)


4) Now choose the smudge tool and smudge till your hearts content.. try and make sure you dont leave any gaps unsmugged or white spaces..

You'll end up with something like this


You can either finish here or mess about with it some more using the filters and stuff or turn it into a sig

I turned mines into a sig by adding a couple of small touches
