So my grandmother recently died. My maternal grandmother. She passed last Monday on the 17th, and ever since then everything has just been up in the air. I am am aware that grief is a very individual and personal thing. But at this point, my immediate family just are not coping well. Everyone is drained - especially due to the fact that normal life obviously must continue in the way of obligations like work, taking care of kids, and the pest that is menstruation, and whatnot. But everyone is just completely and utterly heartbroken at the moment. Life seems so empty and dreary.
I almost wish that someone would invent some sort of device that allows human beings to leave the body for a few weeks or months, without dying, just for a break from life. That would be SO useful.
Does anybody have any tips on how to deal with death?
