I think unrealistic expectations are one of the biggest things that cause relationships to fail. There is no storybook romance that will last forever, at least not without some effort. Once the honeymoon phase is over and real life sets in, problems, bills, etc. that's when the true test begins.

We can show our best side in the beginning, as can the other person, but nobody can do it forever.
