Yes they are good for all the ^ mentioned.  I always keep one in the kitchen cup that I keep my scrubbies in and I keep one on the back porch for shoes and one in the bathroom.  It's always a real pain to keep faucets sparkly and all I have to do once every morning is grab the brush and some Fantastic spray or Mr. Bubbles spray and scrub away. Works everytime.   Takes 10-15 sec. to do the whole job and it's well worth it.
