Chapter 3 cont'd
Rob sighed and slammed the door of the car. As he started to walk away, he was startled as something violently knocked him off of his feet. He came crashing to the ground, slamming his head on the door of the Dodge Challenger next to him. A heavy object was on top of him, preventing him from getting up. Perhaps Rob had gotten Jeremy so angry that he was about to beat the living daylights out of him right on camera? Upon further examination, however, Rob realized that it was not Jeremy on top of him.
The door had fallen right off of Jeremy's car.
Rob grinned as he lifted the heavy door off of him and stood up. Once he was back on his feet, he dropped the door, letting it slam into the side of Jeremy's car.
'Oh...' was all Jeremy could manage to say. "That's not gone well..."
"Jeremy," Richard shook his head, "that is beyond pathetic, that is just SAD."
Jeremy: Before the others could taunt me any further, we received our next challenge... which delivered rather bitter news.
The man in the lab coat returned, strutting across the track with another golden envelope in his hand. Rob watched the man silently walk away. Who were these people, anyway? Rob would have to ask James or Richard at some point in the future. For now, though, he listened for Jeremy to read them their next task.
Jeremy opened the envelope, and took out the challenge note card and began quickly reading it to himself. After a moment, Jeremy's eyes widened a bit and the man grew slightly pale. This couldn't be anything good.
"Well... what is it?" James said, a little bit uneasy seeing Jeremy so worried.
"Using your cars... you must survive in the woods... for a week..." Jeremy swallowed and then continued, "and the winner is the one who doesn't die."
