The dashing winner of a pop star television talent show scored another triumph on Sunday, bagging the coveted number one spot on the country's Christmas music charts.
Shayne Ward, 21, who clinched the British "The X Factor" series last week, entered the chart at the top with his first single "That's My Goal".
Ward won the festive race to number one despite his song only going on sale four days ago.
A spokesperson for Ward said 742 180 copies had been bought in shops and downloaded via the internet in these four days.
Ward said: "I am so thrilled that my single is the Christmas number one."
