I have had this issue as well. I recently told someone that I would go half on a hotel room because I wanted to accompany them on their expedition. They stated, "oh, I forgot you work online." People really think that I sit at home and do nothing or make $1.00 per day. It is quit annoying, especially when I say that I am in the midst of renting an apartment they seem shocked. Now, I don't bother explaining because I will let my material things speak for itself. I am doing a lot better than those who flip burgers for a living. My friends who work at restaurants are always doubting my online job--it makes me question our friendship because of how rude and disrespectful they are.
