WE have seen all manner of dodgy reality TV shows, from Love Island and I'm A Celebrity to Touch The Truck and the Farm, but Celebrity Shark Bait had to be the biggest waste of time of them all.The idea was to take four celebrities - well, three and Amy Nuttall - and put them in a shark cage off Cape Town. On the face of it, not a bad idea - any programme where there's a chance Ruby Wax could get eaten alive can't be all bad.But mainly we were treated to the dubious pleasure of watching Amy and Colin Jackson learn the basics of diving, which for some reason required them to spend two minutes standing in a freezer clad only in their swimming cozzies. When they teamed up with Richard E. Grant and Ruby Wax, former soap actress Amy asked: "Can it (the shark) hurt you?"Predictably the celebrities refused to go into the water - though they must have known what a programme called Celebrity Shark Bait would involve - but then they were talked into it.Source
