Scary stuff! My husband has pollen allergies and uses a neti pot as recommended by his doctor, but his doctor emphasized the need to use distilled water and to NEVER use tap water. This does make me wonder though... I occasionally get water up my nose when I'm rinsing off in the shower. I know the article says the risks of getting the infection from bathing are low, but it still makes me think about investing in some nose plugs...
