In my religion, wearing nail polish isn't prohibited per se but then the nail polish will prevent us from doing our proper ablution before we do our prayers so it's best for us not to wear nail polish. However, when we're having our monthly period and during which time, we're allowed to take a rest from praying, it's possible to wear nail polish. I used to wear nail polish when I was younger but now I find it such a hassle so I don't wear them anymore.
