I'm the same way! We're not the exact same age, but it's similar and I get questioned on my ID, too. I actually had the first two times of not getting carded, back-to-back the other night. I think it was mostly because I was with a much older crowd, but it was still weird to not be questioned. Maybe I'm getting old.
