Who is ripping into you and beating you up and how are they justifying it?? Gah I'm so over exclusive relationships that never go out to see friends and do stuff. They're all stupid. Sounds like your brother's pretty immature for dobbing you in for stuff that's basically made-up. Keep your distance I reckon. Clearly they're not worth being around and there are others in your family/friends who must see through it?
