I have never wanted and still don't want children.  It's not that I don't like children, its just that I don't have a maternal instinct.  Fortunately my husband feels the same so it was never an issue in our marriage.  Funny enough my mum says she felt the same way, and if it wasn't that my brother and sister and myself were little accidents (something she likes joking about) she probably wouldn't have had kids as well.
