I direct debit all the bills and make sure there is money in the account to pay for them. I find that much easier, otherwise I would forget. I have a rough idea of my spending habits at the moment, so as long as bills etc are paid for first I am usually okay.Excel spreadsheets etc are beyond me! I can't think of anything more tedious.. blah!
