P.s Alex had one recently. I have never been so scared. His symptoms were he went blue, started shaking, couldn't breathe properly and he was really hot to touch (99.6 and rising) plus he became listless. I called 999 straight away. The Paramedics and the Doctor told me that if this happens again to again call emergency services straight away. They also advised me to do this if Alex's temperature starts rising again:- Strip baby/ child down to the nappy, put cool damp towels over the their body, give calpol plus nurofen at the correct dosage to bring down temp. This kind of convulsion is apparently quite common in small children although its not life threatening. They come out of it very quickly and does not cause any damage. However please do not take this advice as gospel. If you suspect your child to be unwell consult a Doctor or call Emergency services immediately!
