I think what Snowy said - best to ignore him. Don't text him at all, or even better, if you do choose to text him - tell him sure, we can be friends..and in school, always say hi when you see him, but nothing more than that! That way, he won't think he hurt you, and that's good, otherwise you'd just be feeding his ego.
