I think people say that TV is bad for kids because they think kids won't do other things and just watch tv all day and become coach potatoes. Although in some sense it it is true. Some kids will only watch tv and do nothing. Parents can take the initiative role of encouraging their kids to go outside or take their kids to do outside activities. Also watch tv together and discuss things that come up when they are watching t.v.
