I think as parents we should be actively screening what our children watch. TV has changed a lot since we were kids. I remember that cartoons use to at least try to teach you something like being friendly or honest but now it’s all a lot of nonsense and worse even violence. Shows also glamorize materialism too much and if we don't talk to our kids and explain such things they might end up having a skewed view of how the world works.
