My kids don't really watch much TV and they don't often ask to. When the TV is on they get bored with it quick usually and do something else. I never let them watch too much but mainly because I wanted them to be creative and active. We go for a lot of walks and they would much rather be on a walk or going to the park then watching TV. For us it is not so much what is being shown on TV tho. We talk about the things that they may see that we think is inappropriate on the TV so as long as there is no nudity or anything of that nature, we are usually ok with them watching whatever is on.
