I'm similar to UmiNoor when it comes to TV shows. When I find one I like, I'll watch the whole thing in order to get caught up (or finished if the show no longer airs). I also like that they are shorter than a movie, so if I only have an hour or so to spare, I still have time to watch an episode of a show. Currently, my favorite shows are: The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, and Criminal Minds. I also sometimes watch NCIS, Star Trek reruns, and various old sitcoms from the 80s and 90s.
