In my family it is less, in a way, because we have a "Little Christmas" that comes before. It helps the children keep calm until the real Christmas comes, because they get a special present then.

part of me really wants christmas to come and the other part is not wanting it to come at all ... not to be a downer ... but christmas has changed so much since I was a kid and I hate all the materialism and the commercialism that christmas comes with ... I want to run away to a cabin with snow and have a fireplace as the only heat source and a fur rug in front of it .... I'd say I want to go by myslef ... but then i'd be lonely ... so only the positive can come.
