Yeah it is unfair and it is getting to the point where most jobs require you to have some kind of degree.  But yet there is no guarantee that a graduate will get a good paying position they are qualified for right away either.  Kind of a crazy situation and I remember hearing something now that the rich were getting bigger discounts on loans and the people who couldn't afford it were stuck paying more.  Not sure how much truth is behind it, I think it was on the news I heard that.
