I Really Need Some Help!

Hello,

My name is Alana and I am 26 years old.
When I was 15 I was raped and I became pregnant, and I had to have an abortion.

Now- I study the arts at college, and I met this guy last year named Sam.
He is just perfect- cute, sweet, friendly, and talented.
We've become really great friends and we do almost everything together, including flirting
Just yesterday, he told me he was falling in love with me.

Because I was raped, I am so scared of relationships. I can't explain it. All I know is that I've been scarred for life because of that mortifying experience.

Half of me really wants to date Sam. The other half is so scared and worried and anxious. I really need some help and advice- to date Sam, or not? If I do date Sam, how can I do it without feeling this way?

Whatever happened to you that was not your mistake , we, human often commit biggest mistakes , we repeat them and yet we are all the time ready to forgive our own selves and move on.. then why are you trying to punish yourself for something you haven't done ?
If life is willing to give you the chances you deserve , why do u want to quit ?
