Guys are so confusing sometimes...

Well, there's this guy at school...I don't even know if I like him and if he like me. I'm just so confused.
His intentions are kind of playful. Tickling, holding my hand so tight that I wouldn't even take it back (no pain - just for the fun of it), telling me jokes. Well, the thing is that I think of him all the time. It's the first time that this thing actually happens to me. It's so intense
I'm trying to figure out if I like him or not. I usually try not to look directly at him when he's on some distance... I'm afraid that the whole thing will be too obvious... What's going on here??:/

Well it sure sounds to me like you like him.... After all, you're playing along and all you can do is think about him. I don't know how you're confused if you like him or not there.

And as for him, it sounds like he's into you, too!

I agree with Jessi, it seems like you're both into each other. I know that starting a new relationship is scary, and it can be confusing to know whether or not the guy actually likes you, especially now a days. But the problem that arises here is that nothing will ever progress if you don't help it along. If he holds your hand and tickles you, then he's into you. What you need to do now is show him that you're into him before he misreads your confusion and thinks that you don't like him. I think you should make a move, or at least be playful back without being too forward. And I definitely think that you should keep us posted :)

Thank you so much for your responses! :)

It may be that it's a new thing for me. I've never felt like this before. Never...

Yeah, I think I'm being playful enough ;) We laugh so much together.
I have to admit that...I think actually I like him.
Well, he hugged me. I don't know if it was an actual hug but we were being playful once again and he suddenly squeezed me... Two days after that I asked him "Hey! How are you?" and he said " I'm not at my best. Pretty bad to be honest but I've found the recipe to be good...Having fun together"
I hope it doesn't sound way too emotional but I think I'm melting right now

Take it easy, Eirini. Sometimes, the best way to enjoy a relationship (platonic, mutual, or exclusive) is to relish at the moment.

I think it's okay to act normal towards him but try not to over think the action he does. Some boys are just so touchy feely that sometimes they don't realize they're making girls fall for them when it isn't their intention.

Oh, and you seem to be in the right track- having fun with each other's company.

I think you should just hang out with him a lot and let whatever happens, happen. It sounds like you already have a fun time together. Invite him over to watch movies or something.

Awww!! And that doesn't sound too emotional to me. That sounds like those warm fuzzies you get in your stomach when something touches you. <3

Boys can be very confusing, I agree. My daughter always tells me about a boy who keeps teasing her and making fun of her and it turns out that the boy is interested in her. How to tell if a boy is really interested in you? Very difficult.

If you've known this boy for quite a while then you should be able to tell if what he's doing implies that he likes you the way that you like him. He could be just liking you as a friend. So I would suggest that you just go along with it until the time when he is brave enough to tell you how he actually feels about you.

Also, watch how he acts toward other girls. If he's acting all flirty to them as well, it may just be his personality.

Well, there's been a long time since I published this thread and I don't know why but I feel the need to say that he's a jerk.
He's acting SO SO SO confusing. And I'm fed up. I'm tired of all these things...

I know this is old, but hopefully this reply can used as future reference for any confused teenager... there is always one or 3 around! This is something I'll probably tell my own teenager daughter if I ever have one: I don't recommend you to have a relationship right now, you are so young and at your age you don't even know what you feel, let alone know for sure what intentions others have. It's a dangerous time!

Take your time, you will mature soon enough and will know for sure what you really want and like, specially when it comes to men. Girls who don't think this thru often end up screwing up and having teen pregnancies. Yes, you can be in love at almost any age, but is rare in a teen, most of the time what you think is love is actually ''infatuation'', which is a very similar emotion! And even if there is love... you might not be able to truly know for sure.

When you are a teen you don't see things like most adults do, can't really see the true danger of things, just glimpses and this is why we see a lot teen pregnancies or other awful things. This is simple because the brain of a teen isn't fully developed... until said teen becomes an adult.

This was just an advice for the girls out there, if you girls still feel like having a relationship... well, talk about it with your mom. Ask the guy to go for dinner, so your mom and dad can get to know him, your mom will surely know what kind of person this kid is by just talking with him that one time, would be better if you do that often... Trust her judgement, she CAN see things you just CAN'T and won't until you are her age.

Yes, guys can be super confusing. It is so hard to read the way they act around you. Sometimes their playfullness can mean they have a crush on you or are just best friends. I even mistaked the super nice guy act, holding doors open, dancing with me when no other guy would, carring heavy stuff for me etc as a crush. So I finally confronted him about it. Told him I had a crush on him too. Turns out he didn't see me that way at all.
Guys can be confusing I tend to find the blunt direct approach works the best in relationships. Then you each know where the other stands.

I wish I could say it gets better, but they pretty much stay confusing, lol. They think differently than we do, and they tend to find us just as confusing.

I agree that guys can be REALLY confusing!
Some guys are really playful and flirt with us girls, and it's always so confusing for me.
But you have to make sure you know how he acts around other girls.
(I know I'm extremely late but.. Whatevs )
